The announcement this evening by the Prime Minister has stipulated that sporting facilities must close from today.
Burnley Athletic Club will therefore unfortunately be closed until the measures put in place are relaxed in the coming week/months.
We have worked hard behind the scenes to make the club facility ‘Covid Secure’ but this has meant the number of athletes able to train safely is very limited, we hope that once Spring arrives we will be able to start a return to a more normal training environment.
We hope as a club that our athletes are able to continue some form of physical activity whilst the lockdown is in force, both for their physical and mental wellbeing but it is important to follow all the guidance fully.
